Health and safety in the work place, accidents at work and occupational diseases

The obligation in terms of safety imposed on French employers requires them to implement a risk prevention policy with all due rigour. Whether the issues involve psychological risks resulting from employment, injuries to muscles and the skeleton, occupational cancer, etc., all the legislation has to be ca ref u lly monito red.

The Health a nd Safety practice is respo nsible for monitoring these risks, in order to be in a position to give our clients the best possible a dvice on the preventive actions to be taken, in concertation with the CSE [Social & Economie Committeel

The Health and Safety pract ice also has recognised experience with regard to litigation before the social security chambor of the Hig h Court [to challenge the recognition of a n occu pational disease or an accident at work or contest the existence of inexcusa ble conduct] and also before the criminal cou rts in the event of daims brought following accidents at work or official reports drawn up by labour lnspectors.
