Tuesday October 15th | The new Health & Safety Committee - Commission Santé, Sécurité et Conditions de Travail: Report on the first two years

Published on : 10/10/2019 10 October Oct 10 2019

A new form of Health & Safety Committee – known as the Commission Santé, Sécurité et Conditions de Travail (CSCCT, or Committee on Health, Safety and Working Conditions) came into existence two years ago. Rather than being a separate body as formerly, the CSCCT operates as part-and-parcel of the Works Council (CSE). This raises a number of issues.

During this breakfast briefing, we shall be reporting on experience to date with the CSCCT, and on the principal difficulties that have arisen:
  • The CHSCT – CSSCT transition
  • setting up a CSSCT: its make-up, operations and means: legal obligations and negotiating purview
  • prerogatives that may be delegated to the CSSCT alongside those of the CSE, and eventually to the CSE-appointed local delegates, now known as représentants de proximité
  • the Central CSSCT
With our partners Stéphanie Guedes da Costa, Frédéric-Guillaume Laprévote
And our Consultant, Professor Grégoire Loiseau
