Laurent Gamet devotes most of his activity to the prevention of litigation and the defense of companies faced with it. He works upsteam with the employer to define a strategy to avoid litigation involving significant risks, be they financial (work time, class actions, prejudice of anxiety), criminal (fatal work accidents, serious injuries, illegal work), social (conflicts with works councils and trade-unions) or reputational (discrimination, harassment, ethics alert, parent company’s duty of vigilance over international activities), or to deal with them most efficiently. He assists companies during the enquiry phase (Defender of rights, investigation) and represents them in civil courts, both Employment and Criminal Courts.
Laurent Gamet is also a University Professor. He teaches law at the Paris-Est-Créteil University and, since 2002, at the Paris Sciences-Po (School of Public Affairs).
He is the author of numerous books and articles on employment law. He is a regular speaker at conferences and a visiting professor in universities abroad.
Laurent Gamet holds a Habilitation to Supervise Research, and a Doctorate in Law (Recipient of the Lavoisier scholarship of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, European Universitary Institute of Florence). He won first prize of the Moot Court International Competition (Caen, 2004).
